Russian designers find a way to make keyboards exciting

Just when you think that they’ve done everything that could possibly be done with one of the least glamorous peripherals, someone comes up with something new. In this case it’s a nifty new keyboard called Optimus where each key is a fancy LED screen which can display whatever you want.

This is cool for apps where the keyboard isn’t actually used for typing like games and graphics program and would even help solve some keyboard irritations like not realising the capslock is on.

The cool thing about this isn’t really that now you can have animated pictures on your keyboard, but it’s that people are still thinking of neat new ways to improve the ordinary things we hardly even see.
