HOWTO: keep an audience awake when you're talking

This isn’t really directly tech related, but I thought I’d share this page I found about creating good presentations because presentations are something we all have to do despite that fact many of us (well me) would all prefer to communicate with management/customers/clients/flatmates by email (AKA the way all normal people communicate).

The thing I liked best was their page on making presentations that your audience are interested in. They talked about how to covering things in your presentation that you want to talk about but your audience isn’t interested is a very good way to make them switch off and miss the things you really wanted them to hear. They also had some good tips on how to make powerpoint slides that aren’t evil.
